Friendiversary: 3 Years with Jazzer

FEATURING RIHANNA

I met Jazz on April 23rd, 2019. I know because I journaled "dance battle with Jazz lol".

So in honor of our three year Friendiversary, Jazz suggests we have a dance battle.

Yet after we make plans to hang, I'm at the library, and I see this.

I have heard but rumors of such a fabled volume, yet never seen it with my own eyes...

THIS THING IS HUGE.

So I text Jazz and say, "Listen to me. Next week. We are checking this out."

See Jazz & I LOVE Rihanna.

We've attended Rihanna night at Belvedere's.

And she even helped me come up with plans for a Rihanna themed Halloween party.

So, we're big fans.

The day comes, and we set out on a mission.

It's storming outside.

Jazz pulls up in a little black car.

I get in.

We get to the library.

We secure the package.

We return to HQ.

We put Rihanna's discog on shuffle.

And we crack it open.

It's AH-MAZING!

We're sitting on the floor, flipping through pages one by one, sticky-noting the ones we enjoy the most.

It was soooooooooooo fun! We checked out what years the photos were taken, the details from the backgrounds to the manicures, and we laaaaaughed.

It took us the better part of two hours, flipping through each page, to get to the end. We even stayed for the credits 😂

We let the Rihanna song play out, paused the music, and took a breather.

THEN we had a dance battle.

It wasn't really a battle as much as it was just two freestylers freeing their minds. And that's how Jazz & I have done it since day. one.

Then, when it was time to go, we said goodbye by flipping through our honorable-mention pages.

But not before Jazz was like, "You aren't gonna keep it??" and I'm like, "I'm returning this thing ASAP!"

For one, this book is HUGE!

Two, it costs ONE-HUNDRED FIFTY BONES!!!

So we sadly go through the pages. Jazz got a video, I got some photos.

Oh, and peep her left hand.

We discovered Rihanna was smoking a blunt like every ten pages.

I asked, "Why does she never look high?"

Jazz responds, "That's what the book taught us. She's always high. We've never seen her not high."

And on her way out, I gave Jazz the model-prompt to "Show me what you learned from the book!"

She killed it.
